IRTLF was designated a single-issue organization, working to protect innocent human life from fertilization to natural death. From its beginning, the group provided an effective presence at the United Nations. Its work has been largely in an educational and advisory capacity. IRTLF sponsored many meeting around the world, with board members of the organization speaking and sharing their expertise on the life issues. In 1986 IRTLF hosted a meeting in Rome with 33 countries participating. It included a private audience with Pope John Paul II. Most recently with COVID, meetings have been held by Zoom conferencing. The most recent event in Brazil was virtual where our board members spoke to 40,000 participants.
